Syria
We are helping Syrian refugees who fled to neighbouring Lebanon or Jordan after the start of the war in Syria in 2011. We also provided help to people in areas affected by the devastating earthquake in February 2023.
Working with local partners, we have provided funds to purchase food or provide financial contributions to people in need until August 2023. We supported the Lutheran World Federation in Jordan (LWF Jordan) in its efforts to provide education to school children in Aleppo in the north of the country, especially after the installation of solar lighting in the school.
We continue to help Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Jordan.
